Kennedy Funding Invitational 2009

Record numbers of tennis fans helped The Kennedy Funding Invitational raise $1.125 million – nearly double the amount raised in 2007 – to benefit the Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Hospital and the Breast Care Center at Nyack Hospital.

The highlight of the event was a celebrity match between John McEnroe and Justin Gimelstob, which McEnroe won in an exciting tiebreaker.

The 2009 Kennedy Funding Invitational promises to be even bigger and better, with greater marketing efforts, more players, and the prospect of raising even more funds to continue the fight against breast cancer.
